- The applicant must be a resident of Arkansas who will be attending a postsecondary education institution in Arkansas. Postsecondary education institution refers to a 2 or 4 year university, college, technical or trade school.
- The applicant must be a high school senior, current college student, or returning student planning to enroll at least half-time during the upcoming academic year.
- Applicants may enter monthly during the scholarship period of October through April. Only one entry per person per month is permitted. Duplicate entries, including entries determined to be variations of the same entrant, will be removed.
- Entries must be submitted through the online Scholarship Entry Form.
- The deadline for each monthly drawing is 11:59 p.m. on the last day of each month. Late entries will not be accepted.
- Eligible entries will be randomly drawn each month from October through April to select scholarship recipients.
- Individuals selected through the monthly drawing will receive a one-time scholarship award of $1,000.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified by email and provided instructions for accepting the award. Failure to respond by the specified deadline may result in forfeiture of the award.
- Scholarship recipients’ names may be posted on the Arkansas Student Loan Authority website and social media pages.
- Scholarship funds will be mailed directly to the financial aid office at the designated institution and made payable to both the student and the educational institution.
- Recipients are responsible for any reporting obligations associated with IRS requirements.
- Arkansas Student Loan Authority reserves the right to verify eligibility information and make all final scholarship determinations.
